Under the Din of Darkness

He came to me by the dead of night, pulling me from my bed, his hand clamped over my mouth, even as Aiden rested peacefully next to me.

By the time I had emerged from the world of twilight dreams and regained my wits, I had already been removed entirely from the room. When I found that I could not fight against the force that held me, I stilled, no move of limb or gasp of breath, a woman.. waiting.

He pressed me against the wall in the hallway, silent in his manipulation of my fear, staring at me for what seemed to be several lifetimes, then removed the thin white shift I had been wearing.

When senses had calmed from their riddled reasoning, I knew immediately who he was. I didn't have to ask why he was here, that fact all too clear. Even if voice had been found in the darkened doorway, I would not have sent him away. A man I might covet, but knew I could never fully have.

His hand on my face was quickly replaced with his mouth. Kisses that were hungry and demanding. He squeezed my breasts and kicked my legs apart; all this while he was whispering into the shell of me ear. "Should I make you wake him?"

"Why, so you can watch?" Words offered breathlessly in return, my hands lifting to coil around his neck. "What is it you have made me into? What kind of woman have I become to want two men, knowing I can truly have neither." Stifled groan stilled at mid mark, pulling his head towards me for another kiss.

"So He can.. so he can see how a real man possesses a woman? I have not made you into anything. You were already this woman and I brought it out of you. I could bring so much more. I think I will let you enjoy your petty frivolity with that boy for a bit longer." He moved us into Aiden’s room, laying me back on the couch. Smells, they told so much about a person. While my scent was dampened with an exotic spicy musk, his was more carnal and less spicy, one tainted in leather, while Aiden always seemed to seemed to smell like the books he so loved. None of them were bad smells, each with their own appeal, because they said so much about the men they had attached themselves to. "And then what? What happens after you grow bored of my flirtations with Aiden? Will you merely dispose of me? Are you jealous of him?"

"Is that really a question you want answered? You know very well what I will do. Is that really something you want to hear? Dispose of you?" Icy laughter filled the room and even in the darkness I could see the cold smile. "You belong to me.. what do you think? What do you think I would feel with you naked and bedded down with a boy.. who I could easily dispatch"

"Why do you play such games with me? Coming to my room in the deep dark of night. Are the days not enough for you? You do not like sharing me. "

"Why do you ask me so many questions to which you already know the answer.. does it make you feel good to be affirmed. No days are not enough for me. Take off my tunic."

"I think, if you had your way, you would have me kneeling in a velvet collar at your feet."

"No.. I would not.. but something similar."

My lips had found his throat, a sucking that only became harder when his finger and found its mark and began to rub.

"You learn quickly." He rolled me over so I was atop of him, I feeling that now.. I held the power. "I want you Astraea."

"You have as much as me I as I can give you. How honorable are you? I do hope I don't have to find out the hard way. Are you not happy with what you have?"

"Never and only a fool would be."

I laughed and pulled away, then lifted off of him to stand at his side. "You should go. Go back to your inn and I will see you tomorrow. Your coming here is insane. My being here with you, in Aiden's room.. is insane. Get up and go home Castor."

And I, with an overwhelming sense of conscious, left him there.

I’m sure he’ll find a way to get .. even.
